In 1937, the Rajasthan Vidyapeeth was established by the Padit Janardan Raj Nagar in Udaipur city of Rajasthan. The educational Institute attained its university status by the Indian ministry of Human Resource development along with the UGC (University Grand Commission) on 1987. However, the RVD University got its professional recognition of conducting the distance education courses from the December month of 2007.
With the goal of promoting quality education to the Higher stage for the under- Privileged working people and to develop the functional efficiency of the social life along with economical status of the people through higher education, the RVD University was established in 1937 in the city of Udaipur.
